What are your fitness goals? What is helping or preventing you from accomplishing them?
Presented by Intel, Sponsors of Tomorrow.Since my accident, I've been working on increasing muscle strength and getting my overall stamina up. I've been seeing a trainer for the last two months and she's been kicking my butt. I wish I could see her more than twice a week but she comes with a hefty price tag. I remember when I didn't have to fork over a load of money to look good. That was a long, long time ago. The other goal that I have for the year is to learn how to swim. Yes, I'm one of those Asians. I have swim lessons coming up next week. Hopefully I won't freak out and swallow a ton of water.
What was your very first job?
My first job turned me into the best shirt folder in the world. I spent hours folding sweatshirts around a clipboard and loading them into wall cubicles where customers would proceed to yank them out and stuff them back shaped as little balls. Sweats & Surf had secured the niche market of selling sweats in every color imaginable and surf clothing. And people were into it! Ah, the early 90s, not long enough to rid yourself of the hellish fashion of the 80s. Purple sweatpants anyone? In retrospect, it was not the most terrible job I ever had. My time as a Bullwinkle's hostess wearing a ranger outfit serving pizzas to screaming kids...that may have been the worst.

Happiness Was Right Next to Me
Here's one for the ladies: What's in your handbag right now?
Submitted by Kadeeae.
It's oddly fascinating to see what's swimming about in someone else's purse or backpack. Unless of course it's a pair of socks, gym shorts or last night's underwear:
- three sets of keys. I have a ridiculous amount of keys for what little property I actually own
- sunglasses
- two packs of tissue
- stale Orbit gum
- retainers (yes, i carry them around just in case)
- makeup bag with mostly MAC products
- sparking water from the office
- iphone
- note scribbled with this morning's conference dial-in number
- individually wrapped toothpicks
- kiehl's lip balm
- floss (notice the teeth pattern here)
- pen
- four parking stubs from the garage by work
- ...and two tickets from.. oops, i guess i should to pay those
- hello kitty bandages
- my wallet from China
- nintendo ds with zelda
- Bach sheet music
Hmm, alas no red envelopes..
What was your favorite game to play at recess in grade school?
Submitted by Elisheva Chana.
Dodgeball of course. I was pretty good at avoiding the red ball. Fast, little asian feet. Finally a game where height didn't matter. You should have seen me in tetherball...ugh.
Who was your first celebrity crush?

I was a big fan of Christian Slater growing up. I was obsessed with his 1989 movie, 'Gleamin the Cube', mostly because I was in a skater boy phase. Second to Christian Slater was Kirk Cameron. Oh the horror, I know. I watched 'Growing Pains' religiously and poured over Teen Beat and Tiger Beat magazines, searching for new full length pictures that I could rip out and tape to my wall.
Have you ever started a trend? Followed one?
Submitted by It's Raining Calculators.
The entire late eighties was one bad trend. Hyper color t-shirts, matching double socks, plastic jewelry, vests, shoulder pads, leggings under dresses. I swore I'd never dress that badly again. When it's a trend and it's the latest thing, everyone looks ridiculous so it's really doesn't seem that awful. It's takes about ten years before you start smacking yourself on the head.
But be patient, give it another ten years and what do you know, leggings are hot again! I have them in five different colors, and love wearing them under dresses. :)
What's the best thing since sliced bread?
Peanut butter! Or peanut butter and bananas drizzled in honey on sliced bread. Mmm...
If you could live anywhere in the world, where would you live? Why?

I love big cities. I love the constant noise and the zillion people with somewhere to go. I love the parks built on top of skyscrapers and spread out over old railroad tracks. I love the abundance of taxis (a guarantee that I'll always have a ride home). I love the diversity in culture and food. Oh, the food. I even love the grittiness of public transportation systems and deserted warehouse districts.
I especially love New York city. London comes in at a strong second. I imagine I'd love to live in Tokyo and Hong Kong too. I'm planning trips there next year in fact. My college roommate moved to NYC right after graduation, and I've visited at least twice a year for the last seven years. Two years ago I went for a few weeks, looking at business schools, researching companies, getting blisters on my feet, and drinking lots of coffee. I was so sure that I was going to move. That was the year.
But I didn't. It was always a "Not yet, maybe in a few months". For now I'm still happy here.
